To judge my breed at Crufts! I have been looking forward to this appointment for a long time. Thank you to the committee for asking me to judge, thank you to my stewards who were a tremendous help, and a big thank you to the exhibitors for giving me the opportunity to go over their Dalmatians.

1ST Edens Dalens Hot Gossip JW ShCM VW. 10 years old black dog shown in good hard condition. Good make and shape. Correct front, straight forelegs and good tight feet. Topline level and held on the move. His sound movement won him this class. A pleasure to later award him Best Veteran in Breed.
2ND Christie’s Ch Sophtspot Gold Dust JW. A younger veteran that I have always admired. He is balanced with an excellent head and expression. Carries himself with pride although did not project himself as much as the first.

1ST Porter’s Cotterspot Sir Wensleydale. 8 months Nicely proportioned head with dark eyes. Deep chest, strong loin. Well set and carried tail. Moved out well once settled.
2ND Bridge, Meyer & Britton’s Akoni Athos Comte De La Fere. 8 month old black dog, pleasing head, nice expression with good eye colouring. Well up for size, just needs time to mature and his coat to clear.

1ST Wilkins Gloriandus Petersburg at Salvadorada NAF (Imp Rus) Lightly spotted young male, pleasing head and eye colour, good reach of neck with sound body, good tight feet. Well muscled rear enabled him win this class with steady movement.
2ND Smith’s Rapanooey Sugar Donut. Well presented black spotted male with lovely dark eyes giving gentle expression. Head of good proportions with well developed muzzle, level topline. Good deep chest and strength over loin. Sound movement.

1ST Crookes Dalberry The Starburst. A sound young dog correct for size. Has a masculine head with correct ear carriage and dark eyes. Looks balanced, good depth of brisket and has very good rear angulations with nice bend of stifle. Level topline and good tail set and carriage. Positive on the move with a good long stride.
2ND Van Den Elsen’s Puntinato Ballante Tic Tac Terror. Nicely proportioned head with dark eyes. Deep chest, strong loin. Well set and carried tail. Moved out well once settled.

1ST Barrett’s Dalamanti Caesars Palace. A sound young dog that has a masculine head with correct ear carriage. Looks balanced and has very good rear angulations. Level topline and good tail set and carriage. Steady on the move with a good long stride and strong drive
2ND Croft’s Sophtspot Midas Touch for Koroyza. A nicely decorated young dog of a good colour. Head of good proportions with dark eyes and well carried ears. Nice make and shape and shown in good condition. Needs to settle on the move.

2ND Townson & Pardoe’s Kaytoni Oh What A Night at Daymadals. Ideal size and lovely make and shape. Black spotting of good colour. Masculine head. Good bone and plenty of substance. Did not stride out as well as the first.

Clearly defined withers and level, firm topline. Correct tail placement and carriage. Well placed hocks which he used to drive around the ring. Shown in perfect clean condition pleased to award him the CC & BOB. Thrilled later to watch him perform in the Utility Group and take Group 3
2ND Neath-Duggan & Baker’s Ch Buffrey Incognito by Dalleaf JW. Another black quality dog unlucky to meet the winner today. Pleasing head with correct ear placement and carriage, dark eyes giving kind expression. Sound front with deep chest, level back, correct tail set and carriage, good width of thigh, nicely rounded croup, strong hocks enabled him to move with purpose and drive.
