Championship Show 31 July 2021 Covid Notice
The Club look forward to welcoming you to our Championship Dog Show. The Club will ensure, to the best of its ability, that the event is conducted in compliance with Covid Safe Guidelines, both national and local, in effect at the time. You are reminded that it is your responsibility to comply with national and local restrictions including advice on travel. The Club will endeavour to minimise the risk, but it is not possible to guarantee a no Covid-19 risk scenario. There will be an element of assumption of risk by those who choose to attend the event. Exhibitors should not attend if they have any symptoms of Covid 19. Exhibitors who fall into a category regarded as ‘vulnerable’ attend at their own risk. All entry forms must include an email address and/or phone number should track and trace be required. Attendees should wear masks / face covering, unless medically exempt, and should bring their own Sanitiser. This will be our first indoor show since Covid-19 restrictions began and while it is unlikely to be quite what we are used to we will endeavour to make it as enjoyable as possible while adhering Covid guidelines in force at the time. We regret that there will be no benching, so the entry fee has been adjusted accordingly. However, we are hopeful that cages will be allowed in to the hall and space will be allocated for them. They should be at least 1m apart unless in a household ‘Bubble’. We request that exhibitors limit the number of people attending with them to prevent us exceeding the amount of people allowed in the hall. It may be that we as attendees to bring their own chairs, depending on the guidelines at the time. We do not anticipate people being able to sit by the ringside. Your safety is our priority and we ask that you check for updates on the Club’s Website and Facebook Page. A Safety Plan will be notified, via the Club’s Website and Facebook Page, nearer the time of the show. John Moate Chairman / Covid Officer
Chairman's Message May 2021
I hope that you and your families are well and have managed to stay safe this year and that many of you will have had at least one vaccination. It has been well over a year since CRUFTS, the last Ch. show. Who would have envisaged what this past period held for us. One would hope that the worst is over now and that we have a somewhat brighter future to look forward to. During the pandemic we were blessed with the company of our cherished Dalmatians which made the isolation of lockdowns easier to endure. Now, with restrictions potentially easing and travel allowed, it looks as though it could be a very busy summer indeed if all goes as planned. I for one certainly look forward to getting out with my dogs and meeting all my friends again, but I do wonder what the dogs will make of a ring full of Dalmatians when they have become used to seeing just the odd one or two when out walking! I’m sure that many shows will have a slightly different format but I feel that we must make the best of it if we wish our much beloved hobby to continue. Many thanks must go to our Club Secretary Shelagh, and Show Secretary Stevie, who I know have been working exceptionally hard rearranging postponed shows and organising future events and judges; a list of which, together with a Covid-19 Notice, may be found in the next issue of Spots of News and on the Club’s Website. Please keep watching the website and FB page for updates. We will let you all know what is planned as soon as possible. Stay safe and take care of yourselves and your dogs. I look forward to seeing you all at some point this year. John Moate Chairman / Covid Officer
