BDC Championship Show - Postponed
The BDC Championship Show due to be on Sunday 12th June at Three Counties Showground has been postponed pending reschedule. A full statement from the club is attached.
Following careful consideration, the British Dalmatian Club Committee has made the difficult decision to cancel our Championship Show scheduled for this Sunday due to the forecast high temperatures.
This decision was not taken lightly. We have received concerns from exhibitors both in favour and also not in favour of proceeding with the show. After considering all views, the current weather forecast, the matter was put to a full Committee vote. The Committee voted to cancel the show based on the information available to us at this time.
Whilst we appreciate that the weather forecast may change, we have had to make a decision now to allow everyone sufficient notice and to ensure we act responsibly.
The welfare of our dogs and of everyone attending must always come first.
We are now working through the logistics and following the Royal Kennel Club’s guidance regarding the rearrangement of the Championship Show. Our intention is to hold the Championship Show on our original November date, alongside our Open Show, subject to the necessary approvals and arrangements. We will provide further updates as soon as we are able.
We understand that many of you will be disappointed by this decision, and will have many questions and we sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding while we work through the next steps. This was not an easy decision for the Committee to make, but we hope you will support us in doing what we believe is the right thing for the safety and welfare of all concerned.
As it stands, Evesham show is going ahead, Dalmatian classes are scheduled first in the Ring 5. Please check their page for any further updates.
Thank you for your continued support of the British Dalmatian Club.
