Passing of Mr John Daykin of Guernsey

The club has been notified of the death yesterday (6th Feb) of member Mr John Daykin of Guernsey. More...

Mr Daykin joined the BDC in January 1971 - making him a club member for just over 53 years.

We are informed by William Gardner that Mr Daykin exhibited Phaeland Phaberge (B1985) with success in the Channel Islands, and also won a RCC in the UK in 1988.

Shelagh Stevenson informed us that Mr Daykin was good friends with Susan Gatheral.

His funeral will take place at Le Foulon Chapel in Guernsey on Tuesday 20th February at 2pm.

Condolences from the club have been sent to his family.
