NIDC Ch Show 1 2021 Judged by Cathie McCarthy
Northern Ireland Dalmatian Club Championship Show 2020 (Postponed to Oct 2021) 23 October 2021 Eikon Centre Belfast

Judge Mrs Cathie McCarthy

What a lovely weekend this was. 3 sets of tickets and a quality entry. I’ve heard Belfast described as a cheap set of tickets in the past. But nobody travels this far unless they feel they have a chance, and they bring their best stock. This year was no different. But with the politicians keeping us on tenterhooks until the last minute, it took brave folk to make the trip and I hope your time in NI was as great as mine. Lovely atmosphere around the ring and sporting applause both days. Many Thanks.

1st Hopkin’s Rapanooey Red Rose JW. Black dog totally at one with his handler. Never put a foot wrong on the move or standing. Moves with great reach and drive but makes it look effortless. Lovely head and ears which he uses to enhance expression. Profuse deep black spotting, lovely topline and underline, good bend of stifle, good feet. Not overdone in any way. Could watch him move all day and I am sure he could! Dog CC

JB 4 entries [1ab]
1st Hopkins Dvojica Evangelista. Black bitch, showy with cheeky personality. Loved her head, make and shape and very positive driving movement. Seriously considered her for the RCC won by her dam, splitting hairs, but she was carrying her tail a little high today. Well handled
2nd Howard’s Decoda’s Naughty Nutmeg, Liver bitch with lovely head and dark eye. Good front and bend of stifle, moved well
3rd Quayle’s Cubalibre On One

1st Whincup’s Tamilanda Continental Gold, this one stood alone but would have won any class today hands down. What can I say, she is a beautiful young liver bitch with everything I was looking for included in the package. Correct for size, make and shape, bone and substance and muscular development. Beautiful head and well carried ears make her a picture on the stand and when she moves effortlessly around the ring assisted by her expert handler, she is very impressive. Delighted to award her her 3rd CC. and BOB

1st Dunnachie & Phillips Dvojica Daisy Diamond really like this black bitch, caught my eye on entering the ring. Beautiful head with dark eye and intelligent expression. . Much the same can be said about this slightly taller quality bitch but she lost out on her movement which was rather less controlled and positive on the day.
