A little advice to add to the above.

Your Dal is choosing an inappropriate response/behaviour to certain situations. Your job is to stop/interrupt that behaviour, but to also teach him a new respon ...

It is more common than you think for dogs to take a certain dislike to certain breeds.
This is also common for a dislike to husky/malamute or spitz type.

May also be an ingrown hair, with a small infection behind it.
Any signs of increasing irritation or swelling etc, then best to get it checked out by the vet.

At City of Birmingham show - they are accepting spectators dogs at a cost of 5 per dog. You will need to sign a form when you get there to say you will keep the dog under control etc etc.
