Bournemouth 2018 Judged by Mrs Brenda Smith
Bournemouth Report

After weeks of perfect weather, Bournemouth started the show with a grey outlook which turned to drizzle half way through the judging. My ring was quite big but very uneven and lumpy in places, which I am sure affected some of the movement. I was pleasantly surprised to be greeted at the ring by my two wonderful stewards, Marion Carter and Linda Jones, both Dalmatian stalwarts who exhibited when I did and who I had not seen for many years. I was very pleased that they readily agreed with me that we should stay outdoors, despite the rain, so that all the exhibits could have the space to show their paces.

Many thanks to the exhibitors for giving me a lovely entry with only two absentees, all temperaments being very good.

I was concerned over the number of tick marks which were evident, and breeders should seek to ensure that distinctive spotting is apparent as stated in the breed standard.

I was delighted to watch my BOB power round the main ring to be awarded Group 2.
