Hi all

For those that have not read my other posts, We rescued River about a month ago, he is now well settled and pretty well behaved.. well as much as a Dali can behave... I know I had a carpet before he arrived, now it is covered with everything!!!! the kids at least are putting most of their stuff away as they have realised the consequences of not doing so... River just loves picking everything up and either chewing it or hiding it.

Now for the question..

We go on to the muddy fields every day for a run and I am using wipes to keep him clean, but he could really do with a bath now... have not yet tried one so not sure whether he likes them... I am unsure as to the best type of shampoo to use on him, as I know they have very sensitive skin.. any advice would be appreciated

Hiya,
He sounds lovely! Laughing
I use a hound glove to get the coat cleaner and shiny then use baby wipes for a sheen. Works well.
There are quite a few dog shampoos that are kind to dalmatians, I tend to use Johnsons baby shampoo as it doesnt sting eyes and also is hypoallergenic too, but you are best to try a 'spot' wash trial first as all dogs have differnet sensitivities.
Just what I do - I am sure lots of other helpful replies will flood in soon,
Louise xx

I have always (9 years) used Johnsons Baby shampoo on the dogs to good effect although the cheaper supermarket versions are more watery and go further! Wink
The main thing is to have a shower attachment as it seems to take forever to rinse it all out Rolling Eyes
