Hi all, its mimran, 26 years old. I've loved dalmatians ever since I was a Little boy because of their appearance but I've never done much research on them.I live in a ranch with a very big yard, and my town isn't largely populated, but my girlfriend and I are very active and would give our dog lots of attention and he/she would get plenty of exercise.Do you think a dalmatian would be right for my lifestyle?Do dalmatians make good companions and good dogs in general?

Lot's of attention and exercise a dally's place in heaven!! Though dallie are single coated and some of them feel the cold more than other's particularly after staying in the cold after exercise. A lot of Dally owners use dog coats for this reason.
See if you can find a dally owner you can get to know them better if you are unsure.
Best of luck |

Hi Mimran
Sounds like dalmatian heaven although I would advise you to do as much ressarch as possible first and be aware that Dalmatian puppies are quite hard work in the begining and especially whilst teething.
Thet generally want to be wherever you are and with some good groundwork and training for the first year or two are indeed wonderful companions.
They are very active and intelligent but are not a breed that do well living outdoors.
They love being outdoors and active as much as possible, but then want nothing more than a meal and to curl up in a nice warm place as close to you as possible. _________________ Carol and Daisy X |
