Just a few pictures of our latest welfare dog. We last Katie a welfare dog we had for some 13 years. She had cancer of the lymph glands, though we treated her for a few months, the disease got the better of her.

We were lucky to be given Cuba who has really got her paws under the table very very quickly and is even undertaking carriage dog training now.

I am so glad she is settling in. We are always looking for pictures for our calendar and the one of the three of them each drinking from separate bowls could be a good candidate for 2014. We also love to use pictures of Welfare dogs with horses or carriages so please send any of those too. I will pm my Email address so you can send anything suitable.

Well Katie said never again!

But never before she took Dimmers out for a drive.

To be serious it was just a set picture with an empty can. Though to be honest Katie was the only Dally we have had that WOULD take alcohol, and if you would leave a glass of anything on the floor Katie would be there in a flash, as you can see her legless.

Thank you all for your kind words, I have become a Dally photo junkie, they are so photogenic and do so many daft things that you just need to share with people.

Anne organised us getting Katie (was Sadie from Bristol) and Anne also sorted Domino (Dim-Dom or Dimmers) at very short notice from Coventry. He has been a very keen and quick learner. We had a Coach dog (Wilf) before we had a Coach house.

Louis (Loopy-Lou) was from a couple in Tipton, we advised them to go through the Dally Welfare. They told us they had tried and were told he was too viscous (Which I don't believe they would be told, though he was very nasty) so were going to have him put down. We took him on, had his family heirlooms off him, and that started his calming down a treat, and is a real pleasure to be with as Dally's usually are!

Get out of the chicken van Loops!! Noooooooooooo!! say's Lou.

Yes and what she would like to do next, if she was just a bit taller! Laughing Laughing Laughing Razz

Best thing to do is get someone taller to do the dirty work! (You can see her hair was falling out which was the start of her problem.

Fantastic photos, they're clearly a much loved part of the family, and great characters.
