Hi,
I just wondered when do you know for sure that the pups have dropped back ready for birth? I keep thinking they have but am not 100% sure.

Chelsea is due on Friday/Saturday, she is normal temperature etc still and nice and chilled although struggling to finish her meals due to lack of space, so she's on little and often meals instead at the moment.

Thanks,
Lisa.

In my experience the pups normally drop back 5 or 6 days before the birth. At that time the bitch is often very restless and uncomfortable and visibly changes shape. She may not want to eat much as the pups can be lying ion her stomach.

Thanks Maggi. In that case I would think they dropped back a couple days ago as she is much rounder now and does struggle to find a comfy position. She's been picky with her food for a while but then she was before due to lack of space as well.

Thanks,
Lisa.

sorry for the lack of updates, very busy house at the moment. They arrived safely and mother and babies are doing very well. Only a day late born on 21st. Very pleased with them so far. The fun starts soon when their eyes are starting to open! I love this bit Smile
