Hi Jodie,
I am in Essex as well, near Colchester, with five Dalmatians.
I look forward to hearing about your little one!

Gill

Hi Jodie

I'm an 'Essex girl' in that although I was born in London, I was brought up in Essex (Rayleigh) not far from you. I used to keep my horse at Hullbridge.

Anyway, welcome to the BDC forum and seeing that you have horses and are interested in obedience training, I do hope you'll enter next year's carriage dog trials (if your Dallie is old enough by then).

Check out the photos in the albumn of this year's trials. It's a great way to show off your Dalmatian working in one of it's traditional roles - as a carriage dog.

Best wishes

Anne

I would love to be able to have fun with my dog and horses at the same time!
What does carriage dog trails involve?
What do you have to do?
My horses only ride not drive, but one of them is very good with dogs (my mum's jack russell hangs from his tail!)
How old do dogs have to be to compete?
Sorry about loadsa questions!
Is there a website that can tell me all about it?
