Hello All

A reminder that this year's National Carriage Dog Trials will take place at Lincomb Farm in Stourport on Severn next Saturday 4th July. A link to the venue with location details is here http://www.carriagedog.org/index.php?title=2009

We have a record number of entries of 25 dogs which, all being well, will cover a total of 318 miles on the day. The obedience element of the trials takes about 20 minutes, so with three dogs an hour all running well, the trials will run all day and the judges and stewards will be working for eight hours! Grateful thanks, in advance, from competitors to all of those people and the trials organisers.

As usual, spectators are welcome.

If you are unable to make the nationals, there will be SE Regional trials on 6th September in north west Kent. A fun training day, with activity geared towards the Dalmatian and the trials, will take place on the 5th. Details will follow the nationals, but if you're interested to do the training, compete, help out, or just come along to watch, do please contact me. There will camping and refreshments available.

We are hoping to come and watch, it being about two hours away and our interest awakened by northern trials and the have a go sessions that Julie does. How long we stay remains to be seen as we have number one son in tow. Staying over would be nice but not sure about the dogs, mmm.

Well we look forward to welcoming you Dave. I am due to do Gold, so will be out on the course most of the day (though won't be doing it if this weather stays as is - not fair or safe for dogs or horses to do that much work in this heat) so may not catch you.

As you may know, Julie is also competing so hopefully you will catch up with her. There are basic refreshments available to buy during the day.

There will be a BCDS marquee with photos and information etc.

Hope you enjoy the day.

Anne

We came, we saw, we lurked. I think it was Chris who we saw clearing up some sloppy poo so didnt let on then and never quite caught up again. Didnt see Anne, saw Julie and Jools and a couple of familiar faces. Talked to a good few people, espec the lady and companions doing the tea. Jolly good fun and would love to have a serious go one day though we would have to somehow merge our dogs. George has natural obedience but couldn't run too long whereas millie could, but is untrainable!
