Hello to all
So glad I've been able to locate this site and am looking forward to exchanging info. I have recently adopted 4 yo Lucy - a few traumas followed. First a bout of kennel cough - the incubation period matched exactly the time of her injection. Next, ear infection resulting in haematoma/surgery. She is recovering well and I've learnt a lot about malesszia. Am also using Sibozel 2% to bath her. She is of course a gorgeous girl.

Greeting from both of us.

Hi Glenda.

Goodness you have had a rough ride so far - but I am sure your new spotty family member will make up for the problems she has had in no time at all. They are fab, and it is so nice you adopted one.

Welcome Very Happy

Anne-Marie

Hi

Thanks for your reply - made me feel welcome. Went to the vet today for final check-up and she's got the all-clear except for a constant watch on dandruff=ear infection= malassezia. Also took along a copy of the 1994 Kalchoan Lecture re above for vet to read - feel they let me down a bit initially. I live on the Mornington Peninsula, Vic. Aus. which I forgot to mention in my introductory post. Curious to know who is your boy/girl and where you both live. Again thanks, Glenda (and of course Lucy).

Hi Glenda.

Nice to have someone from 'across the pond'!
Harvey (Nabucco Fearless) is nearly 2 years old and we live in Reading, England. Unfortunately a little too far to perhaps let the dogs play together!!

As for the vets, hmmm, I have often found more useful advice from this website on ailments than what vets suggest. Unfortunately they always seem to ask the same question when we go there, irrespective of ailment, the question being 'are we insured?'!! Before you know it they have tested your dog for every disorder and given your insurers a 600 bill!

Glad yours is on the mend though.

Anne-Marie
