How old? I've always found the following works well with puppies/young dogs. Use an extending lead for 2-3 months, then go back to free runs, and they still think there is an invisible umbilical chord ...

There is a famous recipe passed down by Mrs Freda Hayman of the Widdington Dalmatian kennels c.1935-1970ish, biscuits know to drive Dals wild Very Happy . I'll dig it out.
